I have noticed that some watches have black paint in the groves of the engraving on the movement of a watch, and I was wondering what others think of adding the missing paint to the ones that have lost part of it.

I'm a firm believer in not parting out watches, and not changing them in any way unless they are in seruous need of something important, but I never really thought about this part of a watch repair.

I would like to know what you think.
