Here is a hard too find Hamilton a 940 special with a union town pa. private label dial .

This has the hand scratched number right by the serial # on the movement.

The pictures are not very good it is a much nicer movement than the pictures show really a bright 2-tone. These pictures were taken before i cleaned it up and there a jewel screw missing in the pictures that has been replaced.

Once i get it cased and the regulator spring changed i will try and get better pictures

congratulations, good model, I have one, like much of this type 940 Hamilton you distinguish between them is in the finish, in the internal marks and in the dial, this makes his very intersting search.
