Is there any reason why these 4992B pocket watches cannot be displayed in a Hamilton display case?

The hack feature could still be made functional, correct?

The 4992B can be installed in a display case.

You will need to remove the crown, stem, sleeve assembly out of the display case. Because the 4992B has a swiss / detent stem assembly. You will also have to make sure the crown will fit on to the top of the case correctly.

So yes the 4992B can be put into a display case. But will take some mechanical fitting of all the parts.

If you are unfamiliar with some of these terms.

In the back of the Fat Book. The price guide there is terminology.

You can also do search on this site:

remove a stem.
