Hi,

No, these quartz chronometers were not "Made in China". It has been a while since I opened up the cases, but I believe the movements were either US or German made. Waltham was a USA company. I believe the Marathon brand is based in Canada.

Issued to US Navy, these chronometers replaced the famous Hamilton Model 21. I believe that it was during this period of the late 1980's/early 1990's that the Model 21's were released to the public as surplus.
