This watch was for me was *the holy grail* and I was fortuante to obtain this example recently. Unlike the Omega RN that I had posted earlier which there are a million fakes around and lots of genuine civvies as well this watch has neither and it's military provenance is without question, much like the Benrus Type 1/2. They are similar to early Fifty Fathoms and were made by Blancpain to the US MIL-W-22176 specification. The crown is non screw type, the back has one of the largest gaskets I have seen on a dive watch. The dial was also issued in a sterile version. Hope you enjoy the pics.
Ciao,
Vincent

Interesting watch, Vincent. I have not seen any of these previously. The case construction is quite solid. What is the approximate date of issue? Also, did it have a special strap?

Thanks for the pics!

Best regards,
Greg
