is there any website(s) that is/are generally recognized as the "go-to" website for information about British military wristwatches? Seems like several sites have been quoted over the months and years, I just can't track them down. Thanks. Bruce

In addition to our own, I highly recommend The Military Watch Resource main forum. MWR While most of the postings are about recent, high-end, wrist watches, there are a number of WWII collectors who can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about H.S. 8, W.W.W., A.T.P., and other vintage British wrist watches. Hello Bruce. I also collect military watches and when I need a quick reference for British MOD watches I use one. http://www.sfu.ca/~mmh/BritishX.htm Regards, Ernest

Here is a link to a very nice illustrated article by Michael Friedberg on the early history of "Wristlet" watches. http://people.timezone.com/mfriedberg/articles/Wristlets.html
