Hello all,

I am hoping someone can give me a hand identifying the model of a Seth Thomas clock. It has a Lyre type movement. The dial is new, but other than that, it is original.. Check out the S T hands.. Clock paper says Seth Thomas, Thomaston. Any help would be appreciated..
Bruce

Hi Bruce, Tran Duy Ly's book shows a couple cases like yours and as far as I can see simply calls them "Column". They show one eight day 16 in.tall of 1863. I think it has a 5 in dial. An 8 day lyre movement. I think it looks most like yours . Another almost identical case (perhaps a little fancier) 6 in dial, One day, made in 1886. A larger "Column" similar to yours but with two levels 32 in high in 1909.
Could be others, I'm certainly not the expert.
