Help with Lathe Work on Hard SteelGo ![]() | New Topic ![]() | Find-Or-Search ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply to Post ![]()
I have a shaft made of hardened steel and I am seeking someOne with carbide tools and lathe to make one. It is a arbor shaft used in a Drone brushless motor. Normally buying a replacement motor is inexpensive and easy. The Drone is a Skydio 2 and parts are not available and the company is not sharing the motor specs for am DIY. There are two diameters and a Cir Clip groove, overall length is about 1.5 inches. One end inserts into the coil side, other sticks through the magnet bell and accepts the center hole for the propellor. I can be reached at jamesfthorman@gmail.com Any help is appreciated.
