Hello, need help on knowledge if this a repo of an old clock or an original? Is it rare or common. It is marked "AUZENIER 31 Day". Advice appreciated, thanks. ![]()

Hello, Look for Philips screws, in Hinges or Movement mountings. All 31day clocks Iv'e seen are Korean or from India. Iv'e had a Korean 31 day wall clock for 20 odd years it runs fine. Regards, Ged.

I think some of the Chinese clock movements are 31-day also. In my opinion, the Korean movements (as bad as some of them are) are better than the Indian. I have a couple Korean movements that have run well for 20 or so years also; however, one is suffering from a strange malady. It will keep good time for a couple days while I watch it then when I forget to check it it jumps ahead several hours. I haven't caught the hands whizzing around the dial but I suspect the escape wheel may be skipping the pallets on occasion.

She is looking to get $75 for clock. If is repo or Korean, is it worth buying as investment? Thanks.

I have seen repro clocks like that get $100 - $200 at auctions. (general auctions - not clock auctions where most of the bidders are more informed and looking for antiques.) Tom

Mark, Not an investment, but as something to learn on maybe yes. I would shoot for $50. Regards, Ged.
