Dey Time Register

I am trying to find out what may have been located in the lower part of this case. In that it is a glass door, I doubt that it would have been a punch clock mechanism. It measures appx. 60" X 15" X 6". I have not been able to locate a picture or description of a similar clock by Dey.

I wonder if it was a master clock that other clocks were slaved to in a factory or school?

I had considered that possibility. I own a couple of master clocks, but they all have meter long pendulums and have holes in the case for wires that would have sent signals to slave clocks. There are no holes in this case.

I had already come across those links while looking for information on this clock. I don't see anything that would have fit into this clock since it was not a punch time recorder and, I don't think, would have hade any of those paper recording devices.
