I just purchased the at an auction of train memorabilia. It was the only clock item in the auction. It looks like the initials D M Co are on the dial. The socket above the dial looks like it would hold a flashlight bulb. I think that the bell may have been battery driven. Hopefully someone out there knows more about this than I do.

A search for antique piggy bank alarm clock got me this
