GREETINGS TOM, THE CORRECT PENDULUM LENGTH FOR A S.T. #18 IS 41 INCHES MEASURED FROM THE CENTER OF THE MOVEMENT TO THE END OF THE RATEING SCREW. THE BOB DIA. IS 8 INCHES AND SHOULD BE ABOUT OR AT LEAST 2 POUNDS. THE WEIGHT IS NICKEL PLATED. HOPE THIS HELPS. EDDIE

THE S.T. #16 CALLS FOR A 41 INCH PEND. AND A 4 1/2 INCH BOB. ALSO OTHER S.T. WALL CLOCKS THAT RESEMBLE THE #16 CALLS FOR THE SAME THING. THE MOVEMENT IN A #18 IS THE #61 MOVEMENT WHICH IS THE SAME AS THE MOVEMENT IN A #2 IT JUST HAS A DIFFERENT TRAIN SO IT HAS A LONGER DROP. EDDIE

THE SETH THOMAS #77 MOVEMENT CAME IN 2 DIFFERENT SIZES 80 OR 72 BEAT MARKED A OR B I ASSUME YOURS IS A 80 BEAT MOVEMENT BUT YOU COULD DO A WHEEL COUNT TO VERIFY IT. IT WOULD BE CHEAPER MAYBE TO HAVE A WHEEL MADE THE COST WOULD NOT BE PROHIBITIVE. EDDIE

IT APPEARS THAT THE A PREVAILS OVER THE C HOWEVER IT WOULD BE BETTER TO DO A WHEEL COUNT THAN TO ASSUME SUCH A THING. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR S.T. #2 MOVEMENT AND IS IT AN ANTIQUE? EDDIE
