Stephen, Was it new when you got it? My brother got a similar one in the early 1970s that was plastic, a kit by Lindberg, I think. They started making a lot of these after the 1892 Columbian Exposition, but the ones I have seen were all wood. Does it run? Andy | ||||

Andy,It runs sporadicly,and never for longer the 15 mins...needs constant adjusting. It was,I'm told a reproduction from Germany,hand riveted etc. | ||||

Interesting clock Stephen, i have not seen others like it.Is it mostly made of some kind of metal? | ||||

I have a couple of the "Columbus" clocks. They were, as mentioned, wood or plastic. I will post a picture as soon as I get a chance. I'm sure most have seen these before. Tom | ||||

Kevin,it is a soft metal....I assume Iron.If you look closely you may see what looks like slag. | ||||
