FRENCH CLOCK "Click" to Login or Register

Any suggestions on what may have been the original top ornament for the clock in the pictures? Pot metal case, marked LSF on the bottom of the back, Wendell & Roberts, Albany on dial. Unnamed common French movement. When I got it it looked even weirder, the wide pieces were placed together like a shallow bowl on top of the flared piece attached small end down to the top of the case and there was a short fat finial on top of all that. It looks vaguely Egyptian to me, all that greenish black color and the dull gold trim.
