214 Accutron coil "Click" to Login or Register

I recently wrote about a faulty 214 coil. I tracked down the faulty component. It was the resistor. I went to the store and they gave me a few that were pretty close...close but no cigar.
Does anyone know exactly how many Ohms that resistor has to be?

thanks
Ethan

Ethan,

I have the service manual on my website that may help, 214 service

Also do you have a photo of the resistor or what are the colors of the bands on the resisitor?
They very rarely fail you may want to try lifting one side then test with a meter.
