I accidently discovered signed stems  while taking pictures of a Bulova wristwatch in my collection.  Take a look!  | ||

As a result of this discovery, I checked stems on other wristwatches in my collection and to my surprise, found various insignias.  Here's a few I found. Kind of interesting! Gucci insignia! Stephanie O'Neil  | |||

Hi Steph, You will find that most of the major watch companies had the crowns with insignias. A couple that come to mind that you did not show are Elgin and Omega. Tom | ||||

Tom, Thanks for your input. I've got a few Elgin ww's but none with insignia on crown. Wondering if insignias were put on pocket watch crowns? This post inspired me to look through my box of loose wristwatch crowns, and I turned up the following examples. Lots of "B" names, but what is the plain "B"? BTW, I have not seen this type of marking on pocketwatch crowns.  | |||

Hi Folks, I think the plain "B" is for Benrus or Belforte,which was a Benrus brand. Hamilton also had a logo on their crowns.Also "Hamilton Railroad" on pocket crowns on some cases. J. Smith | ||||
