Don't you just love to see something like this? An ebay seller of all sorts of things finds an interesting Hamilton watch. His words: "Funky". So, he takes poor photo's and creates a listing. Next thing you know, the watch is 2K, on the way to $3000 or more.

This is an example of the rare Hamilton Altair. It was produced for only one year, 1961. Only 1600 examples were produced. It is one of the most bizzare of all the Hamilton Electrics, and the lugs are very, very prone to damage. The original dial is two tone, and very attractive.

The Hamilton fans are chasing this one, and I suspect the seller is very, very happy. I suspect he got a number of emails asking him to "add a buy it now", and isn't he smart not to have done that. Big Grin
