Can someone give me a ball park figure or range as to value of gold in a typical 18K cased wristwatch?
Lets assume an ounce of gold has a value of $1380.

are we talkin' vintage '30's or 40's with the little watch cases or are we talkin' Panerai caseds? Kind of a wide spread.

would guestimate that a smallish case would be no more than 5 to 10 grams. If so, an 18k case would range from $166 to $332. However, most of these smaller cases were 14k so would be in the range of $129 to $258.
