Mystery Art Deco Elgin "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Hello everyone,

I recently picked up this Elgin, and it has completely captured my curiosity. According to the movement serial number, it dates to around 1933. I’ve been down every rabbit hole I can find — catalogs, advertisements, and case design references — but I can’t seem to land on a clear identification.

I was told it might be a Clubman 805, but so far, I haven’t been able to locate any solid data or images that back that up. The stepped case, dial layout, and period styling all feel right for early ’30s Elgin design language, but I’d love to know more.

If anyone can help point me in the right direction, I’d be deeply grateful. Every Elgin tells a story, and I’d love to uncover this one’s chapter in the timeline.

Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge and for keeping these pieces of history alive.

Warm regards,

Brian
