Early Seiko 5 "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I had been wanting one of these and today mine finally came in from Australia. The serial number dates it to 1965 and it is a first generation Seiko 5 called the Sportsmatic. What I really liked were the dial and the fact that the lettering and the dolphin on the back were still very legible. A lot of the ones I looked at had the backs worn smooth except for the serial number. It's a 6619-7990 model. The large WATERPROOF on the dial shows it is one of the early models.
