early Crown USA wristwatch "Click" to Login or Register

Here's one just acquired for my personal collection (I love early U.S. wristwatches). It states CROWN on the dial and movement (a 7-jeweler). Case is from the Keystone Watch Case Co. and is of the solid wire lug variety. I'm guessing Elgin supplied the raw movement, and it was finished and stamped at the Crown Watch Company (wherever that was!). A collage image is shown. Feel free to comment. Anyone ever heard of this brand. I really like the dial with that red 12 numeral!

Crown Watch Co. was one of the Keystone brands, along with New York Standard and Howard. I think they were built a little more solidly than the NYS.
