I picked this up the other day on Long Island when out scouting for pocket watches. What can you tell me about it?

Movement. Seems to be in great shape. Balance swings freely, etc.

The movement is Swiss by Valjoux. Very nice.

Thanks for the help. I researched it further, and it is a Valjoux 23. I found the "23" and the Valjoux hallmark under the balance. I'm pretty sure it's going on to eBay tomorrow to help defray the costs of my recent expenditures on my 25J Maiden Lane and my BWR wind indicator.
