Watch Hands , Radium "Click" to Login or Register
posted
Hi Group,
I have a card of watch hands that say they are RADIUM. I know Radium has a high danger level.
I checked them with my dectector asnd it pinned the needle.
Some time back a scientist told me that if I intersperced a thin piece of steel between the hands and the detector that I should not see a marked decrease in "radiation". When I did that I DID see reduction in the level. Does this mean that it is NOT RADIUM?
In addition to all that (see picture) what does 18/10, 19/10, 1nd 20/10, as well as 100/100, 110/100, and 120/100 mean?
Again thanks in advance for your help.
Mel
