Hamilton Square B plain bezel in solid green 14K, went for all of $660 just minutes ago. I love the period bracelet as well (I'm usually not crazy about these)...

Confession: I was the underbidder. Will anyone else 'fess up to winning it? Eek

As I said elsewhere - certain items seem to be very weak these days. This is the second solid gold Hamilton of the 986/987 series sold for very much less than formerly.

Dan, I think it really depends on how and where it's presented. In this case, there was no mention of the model name or that it was green gold. I think a lot of potentially interested folks may have inadvertently overlooked it. Certain dealers are still getting quite nice prices for their rare items.

Handsome watch Adam, thanks for sharing. Do you think that's the original hands & dial?

Best Regards,

I believe those are original, from the photo. The subseconds chapter is slightly different than that on my engraved bezel solid gold Square B (see "which wristwatch did you wear today?" thread, recent entry).

That dial is exactly the same as my WGF Square B:

Even the aging pattern is similar.

Hope this helps,
