Hamilton Square B plain bezel in solid green 14K, went for all of $660 just minutes ago. I love the period bracelet as well (I'm usually not crazy about these)... Confession: I was the underbidder. Will anyone else 'fess up to winning it?

As I said elsewhere - certain items seem to be very weak these days. This is the second solid gold Hamilton of the 986/987 series sold for very much less than formerly. Dan.

Dan, I think it really depends on how and where it's presented. In this case, there was no mention of the model name or that it was green gold. I think a lot of potentially interested folks may have inadvertently overlooked it. Certain dealers are still getting quite nice prices for their rare items.

Ebay prices for this model: $677 $416 $1000 $995 $1237 $660 $831 Average selling price

Thomas, are these prices for just the plain bezel in solid green gold?
|
Yes. Here are the prices I've got for solid gold Square B models: plain 2-tone case: $1250, $962 plain green: see previous post plain white: $489 engraved green: $1540 engraved white: $424, $1925 engraved 2-tone: $2213

Handsome watch Adam, thanks for sharing. Do you think that's the original hands & dial? Best Regards, Ed
|
I believe those are original, from the photo. The subseconds chapter is slightly different than that on my engraved bezel solid gold Square B (see "which wristwatch did you wear today?" thread, recent entry).

That dial is exactly the same as my WGF Square B: Even the aging pattern is similar. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
