I was going through and cleaning up my worktable and found a 1939 Bulova that my Mother had given to my Father the year before they were married. To my amazement I wound it up and it still runs. I would like to get the back off and clean the face and crystal at least. I do not feel qualified to take this apart for complete cleaning. How do I get the back off without doing damage? ![]()

David: Look at the back of the case on the stainless part. One side of it should have a little lip where it meets the case. If so, just use a small pen knife or something similar and gently pry it up. It should come right open. Marty

try to buff the crystal first . As for the dial mild soap on no lint cloth but start in area that will not be visable when cover is on in case some goes wrong.
