For those interested this old catalog has been scanned and can be viewed at:

Just for anyone interested: Page 68 can actually be found on page 98.

Page 25 doesn't come up when clicked on. I think it is a page showing the foot placement of some dials.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's a lot of time and effort to scan that much material and then put it on a webpage. We will try to soon put up the Supplemental Catalog from 1926.

FRANK,
THE EFFORT TO SCAN AND POST ALL THIS IS WORTH MORE THANKS THAN CAN BE VOICED. I APPRECIATED IT VERY HIGHLY. BILL VAUGHAN

Frank, I wanted to check on the jewel number for the balance and it doesn't list the upper hole jewel for the 18s Illinois on page 31. I went back to page 30 which is listed as regulator and found them beginning on the bottom of that page. Hope this helps in the future. Bill Vaughan

Mr. Vaughan,

There have been days that the only reason I continued was because I remembered all the people I've never met or will meet, all the people I've never known or will know of and whose voices I will never hear. But you can be certain that I've heard your thanks voiced loud and clear. Thank you, I appreciate that.

As far the "Index" used to find parts. Yes, what you're referring to is my sloppiness in putting the index together. I made that entire section including scanning, the little bit of HTML and cranking up the FTP client in great haste, which for me means it took far longer than most would have done as it took me at least one hour. In my defense, I know that the real information in those books can only be tracked, reconnoitered and taken to be used for some watchmaking by people who will figure out, like you, that the index is only a general guide, at best. But you can parlay with it.

Frank,
Do you know what happened to page 68. I am looking for the taps sizes for the 16s and 18s case screws.
