20. 21J Variety 10

Well Ed that is all the images I have to date, I hope I got everything correct.

Once you get things plugged in and firmed up I will try to fill in the gaps.

I will use this slot for the 10th variety.

OK, just one more Smile

21. 26J This pattern sure doesn't photograph well. It looks to be the "Flag" variation of the 26J that is already posted. The serial # which appears to start with 174 would put it in the right range.

I just have iPhoto for editing so the first pic is my attempt to make it look better. For the second I will post the unadulterated version for you to play with.

22. 26J Unedited version.

I found the dirt on this one, here is the J&H description:

APW - Illinois "26 Ruby Jewels" Bunn Special, two-tone, "Specially Adjusted, Temperature, 6 Positions, Isochronism," 18S, GF OF SB&B recase, SW-LS, WE Gothic DSD, fully capped lever escapement, capped third wheel and jeweled barrel arbor, GJS, parallel wave pattern gilt & NI damascene, gold lettering, s#1742997 from the second run of 200. We have sold several 26J Illinois (Bunn, Penn Special) in our galleries over the years, one for as high as $16,000 in 2002, while Heritage sold one in 2010 for nearly $15,000. We offer both the 26J Bunn and the 26J Pennsylvania Special from one collection in this sale.
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good poise, oil a touch dry initially, should be refreshed, fine plates show a little dark toning or tarnish, good color, some MFS largely on barrel plate, fine slots & near mint settings with minimal marring to the cock cap, very little powdery oxide on bright work; dial with hl in seconds, hl above center; hands in fine blue, some rubbing; recase shows light even wear with knife edge brassing, slight pendant brassing, few MFS, no dents or dings; bow tight new replacement, new crown shows no wear; clean plastic crystal. A fine example of a very rare model.

Good job Lorne! Big Grin

That's a better 26-J image than the first one. I'll take it into Photoshop Elements and see what I can do with it.

Discovered I missed Variety 10 of 21-jewel Bunn Specials. No big deal, but I'll have to fix all the tables.

Best Regards,

Ed
