In my area the hobby shops that cater to model railroaders have these. They are usually on a key ring but that can be taken off. You just have to find a strap.

Dear folks,

Thankyou for the leads on fobs. I passed the websites from Lindell and Sheila on to my inquirers. As for Julian's comment on model railroaders...that's exactly the group of people that ask me about fobs. These people seem as consumed with their toy trains as we are with watches and clocks.
