Anyone who attempts a restoration knows how hard it is to come by "proper" hardware. I'm attempting to make a pair of hinges for an Ingrahm mantle clock. Any ideas on how to bend the metel for the hinge part? ![]()

Answering my own question...I know...but, here is what I came up with. I took an old pair of pliers/ cut one end off/ hollowed out the other side/ turned and "silver soldered" a piece of steel to the cut off end. Only problem is that the silver solder is having trouble "holding" the steel to the pliers...Any suggestions? example of my first hinge: ![]()
