Lorne, if your camera has macro (the flowerpot icon) use it and the focus should be better.

A little added info on this watch.
I bought this movement complete with dial and hands 2 years ago on E-Bay for $38.00 plus shipping.
I wind it about every 2 months and it starts on the first turn of the wheel and is accurate to within a minute a day.
Have never done a thing to it.

Here is one of my 1883's, a Gr. 25 15j adj., with the frosted movement, unfortunately the case is garbage.

Nice frosties boys, I will keep an eye out for one.

Some of the earliest C.P.R. movements were Gr. 25.

Larry that is a beautiful watch and my favorite dial. I have often wondered why that dial did not catch on as it is easy to read. If you ever want to sell the watch I will be a buyer! Thanks for showing it.

This one is a very basic 7 jewel 1883, but it one of the last 100 key wind 1883s. Serial number 22576905 dates to 1919 and is from the last run, all of which were sent to the UK. Seems like we just didn't want to give up our keys.
