Lorne, Your model 1883 looks like it just came out of the Waltham factory. Nice////// Thanks for showing it to us. I hope we will get to see other 1883's Tony
A little added info on this watch. I bought this movement complete with dial and hands 2 years ago on E-Bay for $38.00 plus shipping. I wind it about every 2 months and it starts on the first turn of the wheel and is accurate to within a minute a day. Have never done a thing to it. Don
Larry that is a beautiful watch and my favorite dial. I have often wondered why that dial did not catch on as it is easy to read. If you ever want to sell the watch I will be a buyer! Thanks for showing it.
This one is a very basic 7 jewel 1883, but it one of the last 100 key wind 1883s. Serial number 22576905 dates to 1919 and is from the last run, all of which were sent to the UK. Seems like we just didn't want to give up our keys.
