As long as we are posting up Elgins I thought I would pass this one along. It's not pretty like Tom's but I have always been curious about these 17s watches.

The stories I have heard was that they were intended for the English market but I have never been able to verify that. This is a T.M. Avery, Grade 59, 7j. They were manufactured in 1875 and 1876.

I have also heard that they were for the English market. The cases for these are few and far between. I have one marked Leader in a beat case. Do you have a case for this one?

Aaron,

I do not have a case for this one. They are hard to come by. I also have a Leader in a somewhat beat up case missing the bow.
