Which type are best for a novice? The 2 bar kind or the tool you squeeze.

Wher do most of you buy your tools?

Something like this works pretty good,
Hand Removal Tool

You can often find them on ebay for quite a bit cheaper than this.

That looks like it would be easier to use than the 2 bar removers.

It's much easier to use than 2 bar removers, a lot safer to use, and usually much safer for the dial.

I agree with Frank- most of the time. Sometimes I use the two bars when the hands are stubborn-and that happens alot with pockets in poor shape. Just make sure you have a little piece of paper or something cut out(like a pie missing a piece)to fit between the dial and the tips of the hand removers.
