1926 Timekumpas "Click" to Login or Register

I just purchased some fishing reels and a couple old tackle boxes from a garage sale. In the bottom of one of the old tackle box was a "Timekumpas" mfd. by James Duran and Sons,Co. Anyone ever heard of this item? It looks like a little sundial in a metal case. It appears to be missing the little compass.

Interesting, i found an advertisement in the 1927 Boys Life that lists these at 2.00, quite a large sum back then.
