Tony:

thank you for your reply. But, why didn't the serial number show up in the South Bend Data list? It has me stumpt. There must be a glitch in the data base. Ernie

Ernie,

Your watch is indeed genuine, however I too found the same glitch in our database.

Apparently a whole series of numbers in that one particular run are not showing as they should, so I left a message for Frank who I am sure will run this issue to ground. Typing in a Grade 211 of mine which is 1224087 all the runs of Grade 211 came up, including yours with this information...

1108001-1113000 shows up as being Grade 211 and 16-size, Model 2, 17-Jewels, from 1925 production, your movement is from the 36th of the 38 Grade 211 runs.

Lindell

Grade 211 from the final 16-size South-Bend run...

I experienced the same problem with a couple of 0s watches, serial #'s 665675 and 676926. Neither of these are in the database list of production numbers.

Thanks for the heads-up Ernie, I'm sure Frank will be in there banging on the pipes and get it all straightened out.

Thanks for that error report. The database has been updated. There was a typo in that listing that was keeping it from showing up correctly.

The errors with the 0s watches are expected. I will update the database as reports come in. The original listing that I had worked out for the 0s watches had some missing information. As the reports come in the database will get better. I'm confident that the listings for the other watches (6s, 12s, 16s, 18s) are accurate but there may be some more typos in the 720 lines of data.
