Mainspring barrel, Ingersoll Waterbury. Hi folks. Disassembled the above watch but cannot work out how to separate the mainspring barrel to renew the mainspring. Any ideas?.  | |||

Yes, managed to get the two halves apart, they are a drive fit on the centre shaft. Looking at the whole watch, it really is a pile of crxp. You have to line up all gear wheels, the mainspring barrel AND the balance wheel to even attempt re-assembly!......it's just not worth the trouble so going to discard the thing into the back of a drawer in the shed.
