Slow watch "Click" to Login or Register

Is this possible?
Could a hour hand that is not pushed all the way down rub on the minute hand and slow the watch down? I am talking at the center hole. Not on the arm or the point of the hand. I have a watch that started to run slow upon installation of new hands. It ran great before. When I pulled the hands back of I found the blue rubbed off the center of the hour hand. I refitted the hand and we'll see but I wanted some expert opinion.

Ahhhhh.... self tought watch repair. What would I do without my Buddies? Big Grin
Thanks,

Aaron, hands that rub will definitely slow down the movement. In watches you have a problem not present in clocks. You need to support the opposite end of the shaft with a stake so as not to blow out the lower end jewel.
