Times well on the dresser but not in the pocket? "Click" to Login or Register

I have a Waltham pocket watch and I find it keeps time properly on my dresser but not when I place it in my pocket and carry it around for a day. The watch will either stop at times or runs much slower than normal. Could this be a indication its time for a good cleaning and oiling or could it indicate a more serious problem?

Dave,
I think it's time for a good c/o and inspection.
