Waltham Vanguard 16s open face "Click" to Login or Register

I am unable to set the time on my Waltham Vanguard

I have discovered that the Shipper is missing a stud for the setting lever to operate the clutch.

Photo shows a pin in the hole, no screw thread.
Much confusion!! Can anyone help?

Hey Chris and Steve here is a 16 size 23J Vanguard on my bench today so I took a picture which should be similar to what we are discussing.
