I recently obtained a 19J Illinois Elite. The metal dial has a rust shadow from each hand. How would you clean that? Thanks

Hi Mark,

The dial look to have been refinished, if the rest of the watch is worth the expense I would have the dial refinished again to a higher standard of finish.

It does look like an after-market paint job. Not a good one, either.

That is a luminescent dial, originally radium which is probably spent. International Dial can refinish it for about $30. Follow the link below where this is discussed.
