I bought a watch off of (you know).. The description stated the front and back bezel are very hard to remove. When I get the watch home, someone had epoxied both front and rear bezels. I have tried acetone, goo be gone. I use an old syringe to place the liquid directly onto the small joint area.. I tried the John D. Duvall's "HELPING HAND TUTORIALS" form of case back removal. The back of the watch has a floral disc that acts like a crystal.. At least I got that disc off.

Does anyone have an idea of how to remedy this issue?

ps If it didn't need a new mainspring, I would just leave it.

Can you provide some photos? What is the floral disc you are talking about and how did it come off, unscrew? Maybe this is a special type of case.
Mike
PS can you see the epoxy that you are trying to remove?
