A. Stowell main spring
A friend of mine asked me to look at a pocket watch to see if it can be put back in running order. It has a private label on the dial, "A. Stowell & Company". It has the same label on the watch movement. It needs a new main spring. It has a "T" end on it and is 2.65mm wide. Does anyone know where I would begin to look for a replacement main spring for it? It also could use a new dial face.

John,

Can you post a picture of the movement?

Then, I can find the correct length spring to go with your 2.65mm

Ok, we'll see if I can post these images. The serial number's kind of hard to read, 81290.

I measured it a couple of times and it reads .19-.20mm.
