I bought these two 992s very cheaply, as one lot at a local auction house recently. Although the date of manufacture is about 12/13 years apart, they have similar Canadian style dials and identical hands. The earlier one (1135286) is in a Keystone Silveroid case and the later one(2436570) is in a Hamilton No.3 case.

Nice finds, Peter. Welcome to IHC! Look around and think about joining. I promise you'll get very good payback on your $12 dues from the knowledge and wisdom of the group. Evan

I'll second Evan's comments Peter. I particularly like the later one in the #3 case which could very well be an original combination. The movement dates to 1927 and the 992 was shown in the Hamilton catalog as being available in that case in 1926 and 1927 only.

Thanks for the advice Evan and Robert. I have applied for membership today.
