Skip GlascockCan these hands and case ready go with a Hamilton 992
I would like to bid on this watch if it is a real Hamilton 992 case and hands.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Joseph PierzynskiHi Skip, I can tell you for sure those hands are definately NOT correct. And most likely the case is not correct either. Enjoy

Stuart,
Through 1929 the Hamilton 992 was available to retailers as a movement only, the number would help to narrow that down. Check it here...

If the movement in question is prior to 1930 and in the absence of other case-screw marks that could conceivably be the original case. But as Joseph pointed out those hands, although nice for a Hunter-Cased movement or a lesser grade, would not be original to a 992 as they originally came with, shall we say. more sensible hands.
