Bought this 996 (is this the correct case) "Click" to Login or Register

Would like some information on this case as I think it is not correct for this movement.The watch is a Hamilton 996 and I believe the date for the movement is 1916.

This is a 1916 996 that sold on eBay recently.

It has the proper hands and style of case for that era.

Given that the case your watch is in is probably 20+ years newer than the watch, it makes sense as a replacement case for a worn out 20yr. case.

Movement and dial are both very nice.
