I agree, a true work of art on every level. Wink

Here is the 50th Anniversary Advertisement in color (BIG copy sent to Chris for his website) from Page 4 of "The Literary Digest" in their February 4, 1924 edition...

Thanks Lindell,
Have updated the web page and forwarded a copy, unfortunately I have to send the beautiful watch back to the owner, well at least I got to enjoy it for a while and onto the next one. That’s the fun thing you never know what coming in next.
(photo’s and web page with kind permission of owner)
PS crown in photo shown in up postion, I forgot to set down for photos.

I wonder how many of those watches were actually sold at that price?

$500 of 1912 dollars would be worth: $11,904.76 in 2012

My WWW collection is now complete, time to look for new ventures!

I have been lucky enough to see two of these in person. When I lived in Michigan a friend down the street was a watch collector and had two of these, and at the time told me that one was different than the other but either one was a beautiful watch, they are even more awesome in person.

With solid gold plates & case, it must be a HEAVY watch.
