To me Gene it definately looks like it is for the Chinese market, and yes there is a good chance it is a duplex movement. If you look at the escape wheel you will be able to tell immediately, I cannot see good enough with the photo of the movement to tell. Best Regards, Bila | |||

Eugene Yes , another example of an early (< 1850) duplex watch with a beautiful case. (handle with care). Are there any hallmarks or inscriptions ? Just a few things to spot on: -five spoked plain steel balance with a broad rim -diamond endstone -just few windings on the hairspring -stopworks on the mainspring barrel -low jewel count(the times were jeweling just started and here a sign of early production) -old fashioned (hand filed) screws. -over and over again the case. few negatives: -missing center seconds hand -the right shoulder of the gentleman on the enamel painting must bave taken a hard punch.
