Broken, or cut? "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I just had an Altrue Buren, Swiss movement, pocket watch serviced. It was brought to my attention that the tail of the spring part of the fine adjuster is broken. Does anyone have an opinion on how this may have occurred? Could it have been cut to allow for timing beyond the point of restriction?

It looks like the screw was run all the way in , and the regulator broke , 18s illinois has a similar one , same problem . If a watch slows down it needs service !
