I purchased an watch in Ebay signed Pioneer Watch and W. M. Butters. I don't know anything about those names.
The only thing that likes very strange is the "Chronometer Balance" engraved in dustproof.
Bellow is some photos of it. I will be glad if someone help me with any information about "Pioneer Watch" or "W. M. Butters".

Paolo: what is written on the balance indicator scale,it looks like 1854?? And before that there is something else ?? and also is that a non split bi-metallic rim on the balance wheel???
The numbers are an scale 1 to 4 in both sides "Fast" and "Slow".
The balance wheel is bi-metallic but not split.
There is an auctioneer named William A Butters & Co in Chicago in the 1870’s
Any case marks?
No marks, only serial number 52312 inside the dustproof there is hand engraved very small number "44.8376".
